Well, that's embarrassing. Okay, so to recap my life over the past few months;
- Seen Avengers: Age of Ultron.
- Very much still a gamer.
- Mental health fluctuates based on stimuli. It's odd, but I actually feel when the changes are coming now, so I know what to chalk up to mundane irritation and my own changeable state. Discovering this has made me realize that I can be a bit of a tool sometimes.
- Missing running a game for a big group, but that's what I get for moving to Zimbabwe.
- Oh wait, no...it's Strood, but it might as well be Zimbabwe for all the reluctance most of my friends demonstrate in coming here. But that's cool. It just makes it easier to separate the real friends from the fake.
Currently trying to find a viable way to run supers in Fate Core. So far, no luck. Most of the material I've found barely touches the surface. See, as a grognard, I like superhero systems to have a good dollop of granularity, otherwise you run the risk of powers becoming MMO-style means of justifying how many dice to roll, as opposed to the life-changing events the comics make them. Fate, despite being my favourite system at the moment, doesn't roll that way. Fast & loose is the order of the day here, so a GM has to be ready to think on his feet. But that's okay...all my best sessions have been run on the fly.
